A municipal wastewater treatment plant in the Yonne department was facing increasing operational difficulties.
Its aeration system, consisting of 4 brush aerators of 45 kW each for the 2 aeration basins, was frequently breaking down. This led to high maintenance costs, frequent interventions, and reduced performance. To address these issues, the local authority launched a public tender to modernize the equipment and improve the reliability of the installations, starting with one of the 2 basins.
In partnership with a water treatment service provider, we responded to this tender by offering a more efficient and sustainable technical solution: the replacement of the brush aerators with 5 low speed surface aerators (TLF) rated at 55 kW each.
These TLF units are equipped with maintenance walkways and access platforms, helping to reduce upkeep costs. In addition, IE4 motors were installed to ensure optimized energy consumption and long-term savings.
After several months of work and close collaboration with the various stakeholders, the new TLF units were successfully installed and commissioned.
