Tech Sub Orders 1664 fine bubble diffusers Aquatube 90 from Europelec to Replace Aeration Systems at the Châteauroux Wastewater Treatment Plant Operated by SUEZ
At the end of last year, Europelec worked closely with the diving company TECH SUB to replace 1664 fine bubble diffusers within the Châteauroux wastewater treatment plant (STEP). This significant project was necessary to restore “breath” to the tank.
Indeed, the last replacement of the diffusers was about 7 years ago, and the pressure loss of the blowers was high, which had a significant impact on energy consumption. Energy savings are at the forefront of current discussions, and the most energy-intensive component in a wastewater treatment plant is the biological tank.
The Aquatube 90 was already the model in place. This product had been fully satisfactory so far, making it an obvious choice for the operator to reinstall the same reference in this large-scale maintenance operation. This maintenance project, carried out by 5 divers over a month, has resulted in significant energy savings on the blowers for many years to come.
