The Need for Reliability in an Aging Plant
At a municipal wastewater treatment plant, six floating decanters from a competing manufacturer had been in place for several years. These units were showing signs of wear, with frequent breakdowns and disruptions in the basin drainage process, leading to sludge resuspension and sediment suction.
Faced with these challenges, the plant decided to gradually replace its decanters. Three units have already been replaced, with the remaining three scheduled for installation soon.
AD/MC 1500-G: A Robust and Easy-to-Integrate Solution
To modernize the plant, three AD/MC 1500-G floating decanters were installed, providing reliable and long-lasting performance.
Key benefits of the AD/MC 1500-G decanters:
- Adaptability to all plant geometries: Operates via gravity flow or pump-driven discharge
- Multiple installation options: Can be mounted on guide tubes or installed using cables and springs
- Optimized decantation: Ensures slow flow velocity, preventing sediment resuspension and avoiding foam and floating matter suction
- Infrastructure-friendly design: Exerts no stress on the basin edges, minimizing strain on aging walls
Thanks to their smart design, these decanters integrate seamlessly into existing facilities. Installation required only two mooring posts, with no major modifications to the basin.
Convincing Results and Ongoing Modernization
This project perfectly illustrates how our AD/MC 1500-G decanters provide a high-performance, durable solution while ensuring simple and efficient implementation.
