Following a call for tenders to replace its aeration grids, the Orléans La Source wastewater treatment plant once again chose Europelec for this operation, having been satisfied with the performance of their products for over 15 years.
The previous installation, consisting of 12 grids each equipped with 112 AQUATUBE 90 units, dated back to 2008 and had reached the end of its lifecycle. Increasingly frequent maintenance and repairs were needed due to the natural aging of the equipment. Additionally, a grid had already been replaced a year and a half ago, marking the beginning of a progressive renewal of fine bubble aeration for the two tanks.
Issues such as clogging of the tubes with fibrous materials and widespread corrosion of the stainless steel grids were negatively impacting the installation. The replacement process was carried out gradually, without shutting down the plant, by systematically working grid by grid and tank by tank. Close collaboration with the diving team from Tech Sub ensured the project’s success, maintaining efficient and safe operations at the Orléans La Source wastewater treatment plant.
As a result of this renewal process, the Orléans La Source site gradually restored optimal aeration in the plant’s tanks.
